Professional development is a crucial element for a successful school.  An educator must have a professional knowledge base, and be well-versed in their subject area.

Last Friday, our members of staff collaborated with each other and presented very detailed inquiry topics to their colleagues. 

Year 5 & 6

Initially, our Year 5 & 6 teachers provided the audience with a detailed account of the theory of inquiry and its uses within the classroom. 

Year 3 & 4

Next, our Year 3 & 4 teachers presented an interesting approach to teaching mathematics through inquiry. 

Year 1 & 2

Then our Year 1 & 2 teachers created a very theatrical role-play of the inquiry cycle.

Specialists

Last, but not least our Specialist teachers spoke about their findings with teacher of their single subjects.

As it’s often said, “Teaching is the profession that teaches all other professions” so what better way to learn than from each other!
