Last week, some of the staff from EtonHouse International School went to Apple Shenzhen for training as part of their professional development.

Training was a master class in using flexible tools that spark imaginations and student engagement with new ways to learn, some of the programs and apps included:
Apple Classroom
Learning Apple Classroom was a powerful app for iPad and Mac that enables teachers to guide students’ learning in the classroom through assisting them to share work, monitor productivity, and monitored exploration of the internet.
Swift Playgrounds
We learned that Swift Playgrounds is a revolutionary iOS app that makes learning SWIFT (iOS coding program) interactive and fun. The course is perfect for varying levels of students learning to code and builds students’ understanding of the techniques and problem-solving skills, which is later required for programming and building apps and programs.
Students learn to solve puzzles to master the basics using Swift — a powerful programming language created by Apple and used by the pros to build today’s most popular apps. After which you can take on a series of challenges and step up to more advanced playgrounds designed by Apple and other leading developers.
Different ways to learn core subjects, help students think, experiment, and learn through creativity and coding.
Teaching us how to master these innovative technologies was an insight to a better future ahead for our students!
