Early Years

We hope you enjoyed our Book Fair. We can always see the differences within our students each time we host a book fair. The children become more confident, creative and tend to read books more often. Please continue to buy interesting books and read regularly with your child at home.

In Term Two our Reception class children will start our EtonHouse reading program. This is the age when you will see your child read their first book.

We kindly ask the parents to support our reading program by reading each night with their child.

The extra reading your child does at home increases their confidence and speeds up their reading ability.

Each night please make sure your child reads to you and talks about their storybook.  

Primary & Middle Years

On this Friday’s whole school assembly the Gaobu and visiting Dongcheng EtonHouse teachers showcased their Book fair costumes.

Each teacher told the audience who they represented and why they chose the costume. The children asked lots of questions and enjoyed seeing their previous teachers.

Throughout the day each class took lots of opportunities to read and share stories with one another. The older students read on-line books and completed book reports about their favourite storybook characters.

Please continue to buy books for your children as they are a great educational tool we can all use to improve literacy and reading development.
